Leni Singerman
Leni Singerman and Terry Post design and hand craft a collection of colorful, lightweight jewelry in the Berkshire foothills of New York. Leni has been evolving the unique process they use to fashion their jewelry since she started the company in 1984. Leni is a graduate of Rhode island School of design with a BFA in Textile design. Terry graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with an AAS in Advertising Design and was an art director in N.Y.C.
The jewelry is made by laminating very thin layers of different types of plastic materials (films, mylar, vinyl) together. The top layer is a film photo transfer of the design, watercolor, pastel, collage or photograph. Individual pieces are hand cut, beaded and twisted to form sculptural shapes that are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The earwires are Sterling Silver or Gold-filled.
