A passion for fashion comes naturally to Thoi. Her parents were clothing manufacturers in Seattle, and before that her mother was a fashion designer in Vietnam. Her mother has always been her inspiration; she taught her to blend colors, shapes, and textures- to see the beauty and potential in everything.
Thoi was born in Vietnam after the fall of the South Vietnamese government. Her father had fled the country to avoid persecution. Still, her mother considered her birth a good omen and named her "Thoi," which means "lucky". But life was never easy for her family. Through her mother's struggles, Thoi witnessed her strength. She taught her to have faith in her visions, and to find the courage to carry them out.
As a young designer, Thoi realized the importance of formal training to hone her natural talent. She studied in Italy and at the School of Visual Arts in New York before rounding out her training in fashion design at Otis Parsons in Los Angeles.
When working on a new design, Thoi has an idea in her mind's eye and trusts her hands to do the rest. The design process is all about trust and faith-and when they're working together, she ends up creating something she is truly proud of.
All the designs in the collection are created with hand-cut, individually selected natural gems. Because the stones are chosen for their unique natural beauty, they may vary slightly in shape, size and color. These styles can be made in several color palettes to suit the complexion and mood of each individual woman.
Thoi takes much pride in her craftsmanship, so each piece is guaranteed. She will fix or replace any piece found imperfect, and she will accommodate any reasonable request for special service, whether it is for a custom piece or a replacement for a lost earring.
